Children & Youth Classes and Activities

NURSERY

Ground Floor - Epworth Hall,
Sundays 8:15am – 12:30pm
Ages: Infant – Pre-K

We offer a fully-staffed nursery for both services at FUMC (8:25am and 10:55am). Staci Selph is our faithful and reliable nursery attendant. She has been fully screened in accordance with the Child and Youth Protection Policy of the Florida United Methodist Conference.
 

YOUTH SUNDAY SCHOOL

9:45am - 2nd floor - Epworth Hall
(6th - 12th Grade)


Our Youth Sunday School program is is led by our youth director Vinnie Carta and by a core of screened and trusted adults who serve as positive Christian role models to the youth of FUMC. We use the Reform curriculum by Sparkhouse which each week addresses a new question about topics such as the creeds, Jesus, discipleship, and some social topics. It contains a short video each session with fun games and discussion to help facilitate learning and growth. 

CHILDREN'S SUNDAY SCHOOL

Children's Music Room, 1st floor - Epworth Hall,
Sundays - 9:45 AM

9:45 Kids’ City Sunday School classes are in the Children’s Music Room on the first floor of Epworth Hall. Children should be dropped off and picked up at the glass doors to the nursery. Please do not leave your child(ren) in Bell Hall.    →All parents should sign their child aged 0 - 5th grade in/out at the Children’s Welcome table outside of the nursery glass doors.

Adult Classes                    Devotions for Adults

MARANATHA CLASS

1st Floor Bell Hall, Bethany Room, B112
Sundays - 9:45 am
Age Appeal: 25 - 75+
(Adults of all ages are welcome)
Format: Bible Study
 

The Maranatha Class welcomes adults of all ages to join us in lively, engaging Bible study and discussion. We examine the original meanings of the words as used in the scriptures, and consider the cultural and historical background as part of our learning. We seek to understand Scripture, to relate Scripture to contemporary living, and to respond with positive actions in our personal lives. The class is led on a sign-up basis, with a core group of four dedicated teachers.
 


FAITH FORUM

Epworth Hall, Parlor
Sundays - 9:45 am
Age Appeal: All

The group focuses on open conversations about God, faith and the bible using contemporary video resources designed to stimulate thoughtful dialogue and deepen spiritual insight and growth. Each session, while sometimes related to prior and subsequent conversations, will stand alone with no prior preparation needed.

NEW BEGINNINGS CLASS

1st Floor Epworth Hall - Conference Room
Sundays - 9:45 am
Age Appeal: 60+
(Adults of all ages are welcome
Format: Bible Study

The classes are led by a team of teachers using lectures and discussions. The lessons also deal with how the Bible relates to our lives today.
 

Young Adult

2nd Floor Bell Hall, B201
Sundays - 9:45 am
Age Appeal: 18-39
