| 13 Aldersgate Conversion site and Wesley Memorial plaque is located on the first floor level of the Barbican complex, via stairways on either side of Aldersgate street. Near the entrance to the Museum of London in Nettleton Court is positioned the bronze memorial 'Methodist Flame' and a plaque, both commemorating John Wesley's conversion on 24th May, 1738, when his heart was 'strangely warmed', just below this spot. Wesley's description of his experience is reproduced in facsimile from the first edition of journal onto this memorial.
