PART 1 - auditions/rehearsals for principal roles (April-June)
In Mid-April we will hold open auditions for the principal roles in the musical. This main cast will begin rehearsal in April and continue through June 8
at which time they will join the Musical Arts Workshop.
PART 2 - FUMC Fellowship Hall (June 9-11)
Musical Arts Workshop
June 9 -11 6:30 - 8 p.m. each evening
OPEN TO CHILDREN AND ADULTS
· Three evenings of learning music, staging and choreography for selected choruses.
· Set construction
· Costumes
· Pit orchestra rehearsals
PART 3 - MLK Multipurpose Center (June 12-13)
· Dress Rehearsal in costume - June 12, 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
· Performance - June 13, cast and crew call time 2:00 p.m., performance 3:00 p.m.
What we need….
· Adults and Youth with experience working in theater, lighting, sound, choreography, children’s theater in a multi-generational setting.
· Volunteers to assist with administration, graphic design, promotion, registration, etc
· Resources both financial (see page 2 for estimated budget) and food for workshop and performance, materials, costume designs, fabrics, etc.
· Underwriters for t-shirts, program, set materials, lighting rental, stage rental (or borrow), choir risers, etc.
